Dr. Meg Simans

Dr. Simans has been in private practice since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West Magna Cum Laude and as class valedictorian in 1990.  She provides an encouraging approach with her patients and sees chiropractic care as a  foundational component of a healthy body and mind.

Dr. Simans found chiropractic care during collegiate volleyball at the University of Washington.  She was side-lined with a low back strain and was back on the court after a couple of adjustments.  This experience led her to an undergraduate degree in kinesiology and the path to becoming a chiropractor.

Always a visionary person,  Dr. Simans believes that the path to fulfillment is to work hard and play hard while helping others be the best they can be.  She puts this philosophy into practice everyday in the office.  She understands that making lifestyle changes can be difficult and therefore she aims to meet people wherever they are at in order to move forward with an individualized treatment plan.  Dr. Simans understands that helping people requires careful attention to the many factors that relate to one's  health and well-being and that teaching her patients about their bodies will empower them to make healthy lifestyle choices and live a happier healthier life.

Dr. Simans believes that chiropractic care involves not only spinal adjustments but attention to posture, exercise and rehabilitation, extremity care, nutrition, and positive thoughts.  She integrates these ideas into her patients' health and wellness plans whenever possible.   Her specialties include pregnancy and pediatric care. She has attended many births as a chiropractic doula and given gentle and safe spinal and cranial adjustments to newborns.

When she is not in the office, Dr. Simans spends time with her husband and their two sons, as well as serving as co-Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Kitsap Community Food Co-op.  She is a long distance runner and avid ocean lover.  She enjoys exploring the Oregon Coast, hiking, kayaking, herb gardening, reading, and traveling.
