Administrative Staff

 Ron Simans, Office Manager

Ron grew up in Southern California, graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and began a 5 year northward migration, eventually settling in the Pacific Northwest in 1978.  Through careers as a musician, electrician and nurseryman, he has continuously sought to balance hard work and play, with fitness and health as underlying themes.

Ron spent 10 years as a stay-at-home dad, home schooling his two sons.  During that time he also worked as a fitness consultant and personal trainer at the Kitsap Family YMCA.  Ron came to work in the family business with his wife, Dr. Meg Simans, eventually moving into his current position as Office Manager of Chiropractic Lifestyle Center.  He brings his wide range of knowledge and experience to the CLC Team, with duties ranging from account and personnel management, to building and site maintenance.

After hours, you can often find Ron engaged in some sort of physical activity, usually outside.  He also enjoys playing music, gardening, family, travel, biking, and reading.

Jackie Lax, Chiropractic Assistant

Jackie Lax became a member of the Chiropractic Lifestyle Center administrative team in October, 2011.  She was just returning to the workforce after having spent a majority of the past 15 years as a stay-home mom, raising 3 wonderful children while working various part time jobs.

Jackie has lived in the greater Kitsap area for most of her life, and is very active in the community, specifically as the fields coordinator for the local youth soccer administration.  Prior to her years at home with her kids, Jackie worked in the medical field as a medical assistant and administrative specialist.  She brings those special people skills to her work here at CLC, where they go hand in hand with her innate kindness and outgoing personality.

In her non-working hours, Jackie’s great loves are spending time with family, playing soccer, and hiking the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  She also enjoys a variety of arts and crafts.  Jackie believes in the importance of maintaining health through both physical and mental activity and by making educated lifestyle choices.

Corey Simans, Administrative Assistant

Corey is a sophomore at Olympic High School in East Bremerton.  He has grown up understanding the components of a healthy lifestyle and puts them to good use in his own life.  He understands the concept of balance, as in “work hard-play hard.”

Corey is our behind-the-scenes specialist.  He does a little bit of everything from helping with administrative tasks and computer data entry, to setting up displays and generally keeping things organized.

Aside from school and work, Corey’s interests center around hanging out with friends, taking walks, bike riding, computers, video games and music.
