Most people are aware that exercise and fitness are integral components of a healthy lifestyle. With an emphasis on chiropractic care, we at CLC are particularly concerned with spinal health. Critical components of a healthy spine are toned deep spinal muscles, core stability, and joint mobility.
In our Movement Studio we are currently offering classes in Yoga (Hatha, Iyengar), which is particularly focused on core and back strengthening, posture and alignment, with the addition of mind/body awareness training. Our instructor, Kathleen Sheets, CYT 500, is certified in her field and brings many years of training to the studio, as well as a deep understanding of the connection between exercise, energy and health.
Current Class Schedule
This six week series will focus on connecting with your breath to help settle the mind and bring ease into your body. We'll begin with light movement and supportive poses. Simple but effective techniques that you can apply to daily life will be explored. You do not have to be a yogi to breathe! This series is designed to be welcoming to all breathers.

Come relax and restore your energy in this twice monthly class. Refresh yourself, decompress, and sleep better with the help of Restorative yoga. Poses are held with the support of props while you open the body, open the breath and rest in stillness. Regular practice of restorative yoga has been shown to improve sleep, metabolism, and reduce stress. This practice is accessible and encouraged for everyone. No previous yoga experience required. Alignment based, mixed levels yoga.
Using the principles of rooting and connection to the core, an awareness of the center is sought. Props are used to enhance poses and for individual modifications. Attention to the breath during movement and in sitting practice is explored. Students range from seasoned practitioners to beginners.
