Dr. Meg Simans
Dr. Simans has been in private practice since 1991. She graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West Magna Cum Laude and as class valedictorian in 1990. She provides an encouraging approach with her patients and sees chiropractic care as a foundational component of a healthy body, mind, and spirit.
Dr. Meg found chiropractic care during collegiate volleyball at the University of Washington. She was side-lined with a low back strain and was back on the court after a couple of adjustments. This experience led her to an undergraduate degree in kinesiology and the path to becoming a chiropractor.
Always a visionary person, Dr. Meg believes that the path to fulfillment is to work hard and play hard while helping others be the best they can be.
She puts this philosophy into practice everyday in the office. She understands that making lifestyle changes can be difficult and therefore she aims to meet people wherever they are at in order to move forward with an individualized treatment plan. Dr. Meg understands that helping people requires careful attention to the many factors that relate to one's health and well-being and that teaching her patients about their bodies will empower them to make healthy lifestyle choices and live a happier healthier life.
Dr. Meg believes that chiropractic care involves not only spinal adjustments but attention to posture, exercise and rehabilitation, extremity care, nutrition, and positive thoughts. She integrates these ideas into her patients' health and wellness plans whenever possible. Her specialties include pregnancy and pediatric care. She learned the Webster Technique directly from Dr. Larry Webster. The Webster technique improves pelvic balance during pregnancy which helps optimize fetal positioning and can help women have an easier, safer birth. This prenatal treatment is very successful in allowing a breech baby to turn its head down for delivery. She has attended many births as a chiropractic doula and given gentle and safe spinal and cranial adjustments to newborns.
When she is not in the office, Dr. Meg spends time with her husband and their two adult sons. She is a runner and avid ocean lover. She enjoys exploring the Oregon Coast, hiking, kayaking, surfing, gardening, reading on health and nutrition, and traveling the world.

Dr. Ryan Macedo
Dr. Ryan Macedo was in practice in the Vancouver, WA area for 9 years prior to moving to Kitsap county with his wife and joining the team at CLC in 2017. Dr. Macedo graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 2007. He believes if you take care of your body, it will take care of you. The basis of this is to eat well, move well, and think well.
Dr. Ryan was first introduced to chiropractic as a collegiate wrestler. He also played rugby in college and was an elite level competitive fighter. With years of physical contact and injury, he found chiropractic a necessary tool to keep his body in peak shape and able to compete for longer than most.
As a competitive athlete, Dr. Ryan understands that there are several components to a healthy lifestyle. He integrates nutrition, exercise, stress management, as well as a diversified chiropractic technique into his practice. He loves working with people of all ages, ability levels, and lifestyles. He has worked with infants just hours old, to youthful 97 year olds. He has also worked with high level athletes, to people who have never played a sport.
In his free time, Dr. Ryan loves spending time with his wife and daughter, being on the water, playing golf, and coaching youth sports. He is a high school wrestling coach and also works with MMA fighters. He brings a light hearted, humorous approach to practice that helps his patients feel comfortable and at ease right from the beginning.

Dr. David Powell
Dr. Dave has been with CLC since September 2010.
A former Naval officer, Dr. Powell experienced chiropractic care for the first time after he was injured on active duty and he has been an active proponent ever since. He is particularly sympathetic to those of us who suffer acute and chronic aches, pains and injuries from the wear and tear of daily life. “When people reach their late 30’s or early 40’s they start to take notice of their health a little more seriously. I really enjoy working with this population because often for the first time they realize that they can influence the quality of their life” says Dr. Powell. “They don’t have to live with acute and chronic issues; often routine chiropractic adjustments can help”. He is an outstanding adjuster and loves to help people live happier, healthier lives.
Before joining the Navy Dr. Powell did graduate work in marriage and family counseling with an emphasis on body-oriented psychotherapy and holistic health. Though not a licensed therapist, he brings this unique perspective to his practice of chiropractic with a clear understanding of the relationship between the mind and body and how it can physically manifest itself as pain or stiffness. Dr. Powell has also earned his animal chiropractic certification for domestic and farm animals. Although this practice is not directly connected with CLC, we are happy to pass along his business card if you are interested in this service for animals.
While not at the office, Dr. Powell enjoys being physically active, and can often be found hiking or working in his garden with his wife Kristina, or paddle boarding with their dogs Eli and Jackson.
