Class Schedule

Sundays 9:00 - 10:00 am Yin Yoga for Joint Health with Sarah Nolan                                                                                                    In a very "yang" world, a calm and cool "yin" practice is the necessary counterpart to balance the active and passive elements of our bodies and minds. You will hold seated poses for several minutes to activate the muscle tissue, followed by release of the pose to allow the tissue to rest. Yin poses target the fascia (connective tissue surrounding our muscles, organs, joints, and bones) to release muscle tension, energetic blockages and increase proper organ function. Yin yoga increases mobility, mental focus and the ability to breathe through physical discomfort. Yin is a complementary addition to one's more active vinyasa practice or athletic training. All levels welcome.

Mondays 5:30 - 6:30 pm Vinyasa with Sarah Nolan
The word “vinyasa” translates to the word “flow.” In our vinyasa style class, each asana (pose) is linked to the next using the breath. This creates a rhythmic flow of movement that transforms a yoga practice into a moving meditation. Vinyasa can be practiced slow or fast. All levels welcome.

Tuesdays 5:30-6:30 pm Warm Vinyasa Flow with Katie Rains *Begining Tuesday, May 7th*
This class focuses on building both strength and flexibility, through a  set of integrated poses (asanas) linking breath to movement. All levels are welcome to join us in a warm (not hot) room. The beginning of class is an upbeat flow, balanced by a series of poses to stretch and surrender the body.  There will usually be an opportunity to play with an arm balance or other types of inversion during class.
